Abstract

Case report of rupture of the Achilles tendon in a patient diagnosed with ochronosis or alkaptonuric with diffuse impregnation of specific pigments in every area of the lesion, demonstrating surgical findings, the diagnosis method of the pathology, clinical features, pathologic findings and their therapeutically adopted in the clinical case, in order to describe an unusual condition, but can be found in our clinical and surgical practice.
