Abstract

Talar fractures are usually treated with screws, but in cases with important comminution it may not be sufficient to the success of treatment. In this situation, the use of plates is described, but there is a lack of information about the indications and the surgical techniques. There were described three cases of comminuted talar fractures, fixed with plates, showing the different aspects of fixation technic, implant type and post-operative evolution
