Abstract

The authors present a case of a child with osteoid osteoma affecting the distal phalanx of the third toe. The patient had severe pain and incapacity, with increased size of the affected toe. The authors discuss the differential diagnosis and the importance of adequate investigation of unusual diagnosis.
