2.1 The title of the paper in Spanish or Portuguese and in English.

2.2 Full name and academic degree of all authors.

2.3 One of the authors should be designated as the corresponding author, and his/her e-mail and phone must be provided to enable rapid contact with authors concerning any information related to the article.

2.4 The order in which authors’ name will appear in the publication will match the sequence presented in the title page.

Other manuscript categories do not require a structured abstract; however, these manuscripts must contain information that allow recognition of the study’s importance. At least five keyword defining the subject of the study should be included in Portuguese or Spanish, as well as English. Keywords must be based on DeCS (Descritores em Ciências da Saúde), which is a translation into Portuguese of the MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) terms from US National Library of Medicine; DeCS is published by Bireme-Latin American and the Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information and is available at http://decs. bvs.br. The registration number and/or identification of clinical trials should appear below the abstract.

4. Text: The main text, figures and tables must not include any references or abbreviations that enable identification of the authors’ names or their affiliation in order to guarantee quality and bias in the article review process.

    a) Original Articles: articles must be original and unpublished. The article must include the following parts: Introduction/Objectives, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and References. The study must be limited to 3,000 words, 4 figures, 4 tables and no more than 30 references.

    b) Special Articles: This category follows the same structure as for original articles; however, special articles are accepted only if an invitation is made by the Editor-In-Chief.

    c) Review/Update Articles: Reviews or updates are narrative reviews that highlight the importance of the Tobillo y Pie 130 Tobillo y Pie 2018;10(2):129-30 subject for the area. They must be limited to 5,000 words and 50 references.

    d) Case Reports: These articles must consist of an introduction, brief review of the literature, report of a case showing important exams for diagnosis and differential diagnosis, and, if necessary, discussion or commentaries and references. Such contributions can include funding support, technical support, and any other contribution given to the study.

6. References: References in all manuscript categories must be cited in the order of their appearance in the text. Reference format is based on the model proposed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors’ “Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals,” updated in 2009, according to the example below: Journal titles must be abbreviated based on the style presented in the List of Journals Indexed in Index Medicus published by the US National Library of Medicine and available at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/ sites/entrez. All references must include up to six authors. If the study has more than six authors, the first six are cited, and then the expression “et al.” is used, such as in the following examples:
