Nine hundred twenty-six interventions in total. Mean follow-up of 14 months. Gender, age, main technique and the following variables were analyzed before and after the intervention: type of metatarsalgia, index minus, elevation of the first metatarsal, the presence of arthropathy, metatarsal formula and Maestro’s formula values. SPSS statistical analysis program. Results: The appearence of index minus and elevation of first ray in postoperative radiograph is related to cases of metatarsalgia. Conclusion: The alteration in the normal biomechanics is one of the most common causes of metatarsalgias.
