Abstract

Tarsal coalitions are an uncommon pathology of the foot, the most frequent being the talocalcaneal and the calcaneonavicular subtypes. Although they are usually asymptomatic, can produce non-specific foot pain in relation to sports or postrauma. The study with simple radiography usually reveals inconclusive findings. For its correct specific diagnosis is necessary an computed tomography or/and magnetic resonance imaging. Treatments for this condition can range from conservative options to surgical approach. The navicular – cuboid coalitions are extremely unusual. The reports in the literature are infrequent. For this reason, we present this clinical case and the surgical resolution.
